Power Down and Unplug Power Cord

control-panel

Turn off the printer with the power button, wait 10 seconds, then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Disconnecting power releases the roller gear clutches, letting you turn rollers manually without damaging gears.

2

Slide Out Main Paper Tray

tray1

Pull out Tray 1 completely. Remove loose or crumpled sheets, and inspect the lower feed entrance with a flashlight.

If a sheet is partially fed, grasp it with both hands and pull smoothly toward you in the normal feed direction.

3

Open Cartridge / Toner Access Door

cartridge-bay

Open the top cover. If the carriage is locked, do not force it. Look underneath the printhead or toner cartridge area.

Avoid touching the transparent optical encoder strip running horizontally behind the carriage.

4

Gently Extract Paper in Direction of Travel

cartridge-bay

Grip both corners of the sheet. Pull slowly, evenly, and deliberately in the natural direction of paper feed.

Never yank paper. Quick jerks can tear paper, leaving tiny scraps trapped inside sensor arms.

5

Check Rear Access Door & Duplexer

rear

Turn the machine around and unclip the rear access panel or slide out the two-sided duplexer module.

Look for tiny corner scraps that may have torn off during front extraction.

6

Close Access Doors & Restart Printer

Ensure all doors click firmly into their closed latches. Plug the cord back in and power on.

The printer will run its automatic calibration cycle and clear the paper jam warning.
